Partner organisations participating in the EU-funded project entitled “EYD2015 – The future we want” came together on 24 April in Dresden to discuss the current status of the recently initiated project. As IMRO-DDKK Nonprofit Ltd. is part of the project’s consortium, representatives our organisation also were invited to participate in the meeting.

The three-year project could be considered as a Europe-wide “raising awareness-campaign” gathering local municipalities and other type of local organisations. The project aims at taking supporting measures by addressing topics such as the fight against climate change and the sustainable development at both local and global levels. In particular, the project’s main objective is to foster sustainable ways of exploiting natural resources not only in Europe but also in geographic areas outside Europe with a special regard to South American rainforests.

During the project meeting important issues related to the EYD2015 project were discussed by partners such as the events to be held or the awareness raising campaign which is about to start in the participating countries. IMRO-DDKK has also an important role in the proposed action since it is responsible for carrying out the so-called “poster campaign” in educational institutions in Nagykanizsa and other nearby villages.
